E-100 Krokodil - Heer46 - E100JK - Details + Tracks

Hello everyone

Short update! 

I forgot to make a post yesterday, but better late than never! I've been finished the last few details on my Krokodil, mainly the tracks and all the tools.

Nothing really fancy here worth describing, at least not the tools etc.

The tracks I started by painting them Track primer from Vallejo, then a gunmetal drybrush and in the end a wash of Track Wash from Ammo of Mig. When all this had dried I used some rust pigtems mixed with thinner to give the tracks another wash. I'm going to give them more earth pigments later, so this won't really be that visible to be honest, but you could easily stop here, the rust dries great :)

Paint the rest of the tools etc. however you want, I prefer to paint my tools using grey colours because gunmetal just doesn't look right to be in this scale (I might just be werid ^^).

I have actually been working more today and kinda finished the tank (still need to paint the commander), but pictures will be up some other time soon :)

E-100 Krokodil - Heer46 - E100JK - Chipping

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I managed to sit down and get some work done. This time around I have been working on some further weathering of the vehicle.

Using a combination of brushes and sponges I started with Vallejo "Iraqi Sand" for the light chips and scratches. Afterwards I went over  most of the light chips with chipping colour from AK also making a few new ones in the process. 

Overall I quite happy with the result of this chipping session, some places could have been better, no doubt about that, but overall, meh not bad :-p

In the end I went over the entire vehicle adding some rust streaks, from some of the more prominent chips and scratches. I also added about of rust around hatches and such. I can't decide if I went a bit overboard with this step, but I still think it looks quite good to be honest.

Next up are the detail painting and tracks.

Airspeed Horsa Glider - Old Glory - BFF005

'Allo 'Allo

I had completely forgot to post anything about this project >.<

I friend of mine recently asked me if I could paint this new Glider he had bought for his FoW Airborne army. I thought sure, since he just wanted me to do the basecoat and camo, and he would do all the detail work himself. This was before I realised this wasn't in 1:144 as the normal planes used for FoW, but in 1:100, which makes this plane fairly large and quite unhandy

Beside being quite big it also came without any assembly instruction and some fairly bad resin cast errors. Took a few days of filling and sanding and I still didn't manage to fill everything...just got so tired of this that I decided to just start painting.

The Firefly is just there for sizing comparison 

Even though this plane was a pain to build it was quite enjoyable to paint! and I think it turned out ok. As mentioned above I was only 'hired' (tricked) to do the camo work etc. and I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this thing turns out when my mate is finished with it.

Will try to get some pictures of the finished plane when it's ready :)

The Best thing about this build is that my mate now owes me beer for life! :-D
