Just a little update today.

I managed to get a bit of work done and the base coat of basicly done now. Next up comes the camo pattern and filters to blend things together.

Well not much to say :-p

Have some more pictures











Next painting session probably won't be before this weekend.

  1. looking good Chris, a few questions:

    -How many tonalities do you use for your yellow in addition to the base coat, 3?

    -Do you use a piece of paper or a cardboard to mask and hit only certain aeras? For instance, the front mud guards, how did you separate neatly the color with the rest of the hull?

    I do 3 highlights on top of the dark base coat and I do use both cardboard and masking tape :)

    I used these colors:
    1. Ak005 dunkelgelb dark base
    2. Ak005+Ak007 (1:1)
    3. Ak007 dunkelgelb light base
    4. Ak714 ral 7028 dg III dunkelgelb

    These colors are available as MIG colors aswell under basically the same names but different product codes of course :)
